Dr. Curry was recently recruited to the UC San Diego faculty from a local eating disorder program which she designed and implemented over a 4-year period. She is currently the Program Manager of the Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorders Program at UCSD. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Pacific University School of Professional Psychology, in 1999. She has been a presenter at three international eating disorder conferences and recently presented with Walter Kaye, M.D. and James Locke, M.D. on “The Neurobiology of Anorexia Nervosa Insights into Better Treatments.” She was the program coordinator for Sharp Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program for four years and has helped to create and get the eating disorder program established at UCSD. She is a member of the San Diego Psychological Association.
Current research activities:
Dr. Curry is working on an NIMH study which will compare 2 types of family therapy in the treatment of anorexia. This is a 5 year study containing 7 sites across the country. Dr. Curry will be supervising the treatment therapists at the UCSD site.
