Eating Disorders Program

Communication

The communication sessions focus on identification of communication styles within the family and enhancement of those styles. There are many things that families can do to become more effective communicators and in turn to improve the quality of their relationships. Families can improve their communication skills by following some suggestions for building effective family communication: frequent communication, clear and direct communication, active listening, openness and honesty, non verbal communication, and encouragement for growth and change.
