No Cost Family Therapy For Adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa

Family of Four

Families with adolescents who are currently suffering from Anorexia Nervosa are needed to participate in an international study coordinated out of Stanford University. Six treatment sites from all over the United States and Canada will be providing no cost family therapy and medical management for nine months to families who need treatment. Within the next two years, each site will be recruiting approximately 30 families and therefore 160 families will have the opportunity to be randomized to receive one of the two state of the art family therapy treatments! This study is currently the largest study in history to examine family therapy in adolescents with anorexia nervosa. This is a great opportunity for those who cannot currently afford treatment! We are looking for adolescents between the ages of 12-18 who currently meet the DSM-IV-TR criteria for anorexia nervosa. If you are interested in getting more information about participating in this study, please contact us! We look forward to talking with you!
