Anna is a Marital and Family Therapist Trainee in the Adolescent Program at the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy at the University of San Diego. Coming from a military family, Anna spent much of her childhood living across the world, with strong ties to the East Coast and New England. She earned her B.S. in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience from Virginia Tech, where she also completed minors in Leadership and Social Change and Data Science.
During her time at Virginia Tech, Anna served as a facilitator for the Body Project, a group-based intervention designed to help women and girls challenge unrealistic beauty ideals and cultivate a healthier body image through discussion, reflection, and experiential exercises. In this role, she gained experience in psychoeducation and group facilitation while deepening her interest in the cognitive and social factors that influence body image and self-esteem. In her clinical work, Anna strives to create a compassionate, collaborative, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered in their healing and growth.
In her free time, Anna enjoys baking, reading, crafting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
