Shelbie McCree

Shelbie is a graduate student at USD completing her Marriage and Family Therapy training at the UCSD Eating Disorder Center in the Adolescent Program. She earned her bachelor’s in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience and a minor in Counseling and Social Change from SDSU in 2024. While at SDSU, she gained research experience in the Translational Emotion and Neuroscience Development Lab and the Center for Research on Sexuality and Sexual Health, focusing on youth emotional development and sexual health disparities. Shelbie also served as Vice President of Psi Chi and co-founded Mending Minds, a campus mental health initiative. She is passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive spaces for youth and families. In her free time, Shelbie enjoys dancing, reading, and spending quality time with her husband, her puppy Junie, and her friends.
