Cassandra Detgen

Cassandra Detgen is a licensed professional clinical counselor who serves as one of the primary program therapists as well as a clinical supervisor. She works with both families, individuals, and within the milieu in the adolescent program. Originally from the Midwest, she received a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from Miami University and a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University, then ventured out to San Diego to put her passion for eating disorders to use.

Margaret “Marti” Edwards

Margaret “Marti” Edwards is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who works in the Adult Treatment Program at the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research. Marti received her BA in Psychology and BS in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona in 2019. She then moved to San Diego and received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego in 2021. Marti serves as the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Track Co-Coordinator and the Co-Occurring Disorders Track Co-Coordinator.

Sanvi Beri

Sanvi Beri is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who works in the adult PHP/IOP at the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center. She has been working with the eating disorder population since 2017. Sanvi graduated with her BS in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Colorado in 2018. She then moved from colorful Colorado to sunny San Diego and earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego in 2021.

Alyssa Vilven

Alyssa joined the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research in 2017 and currently serves as a Senior Admissions Clinician and Clinical Supervisor for the Adult Program. Alyssa earned her B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. During her undergraduate studies, Alyssa worked in a residential facility in San Francisco supporting children with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Andi Drouin

Andi is an admission clinician at the UC San Diego Eating Disorder Center. She graduated with her BA in Psychology from Arizona State University and went on to obtain her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. During her graduate studies she was awarded the Dean Merit Scholarship wherein her interests centered upon integration of positive psychology, strengths based clinical intervention, and trauma informed care.
