AlliGrace Story

Dr. AlliGrace Story (she/her) is a postdoctoral fellow at the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research in the Adult Program.  She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Mississippi State University. AlliGrace also received her M.S. degrees in Clinical Psychology and Health Promotion, as well as her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Mississippi State University. She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Orlando VA Healthcare System, where she completed rotations specializing in trauma-related disorders, health psychology, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). AlliGrace has experience utilizing evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT), Written Exposure Therapy for PTSD (WET), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders (CBT-SUD). She has also treated a variety of eating disorder presentations and common comorbidities, including body image concerns and anxiety, mood, trauma, and substance use related disorders. AlliGrace’s research interests focus on  the impact of interpersonal relationships and sociocultural factors on body image and eating pathology. In her free time, AlliGrace enjoys reading, going to the beach, and hanging out with her two dogs and cat.
