Claire Binns (she/her) is an Associate Clinical Social Worker in the Pediatric Clinic at the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the College of William & Mary and completed her Master's in Social Work at the University of Maryland Baltimore, with a specialization in Clinical Behavioral Health. She has experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults and parents in addressing mental health challenges within the outpatient setting, including her work at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Claire is trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Outside of work, Claire enjoys playing pickleball, watching sunsets at the beach, and snuggling up with her black cat.
