Interested in learning more about and contributing to eating disorder research? We are seeking undergraduate students to join our research volunteer team. Volunteer research assistants (RAs) will gain hands on research experience and assist with participant recruitment, participant study visits, and data collection/entry.
PSYC 199 course credit is available for UC San Diego undergraduate students. Non-UC San Diego undergraduates local to San Diego are also encouraged to apply. Please note that most of our work takes place in-person, and we are typically unable to accept research assistants who are not local to San Diego and/or are only in San Diego during the summer. Ideal candidates are able to commit to at least one year as an RA in the lab.
We accept applications submitted by the first Friday of each quarter to begin as a research assistant the following quarter. We will contact you within two weeks of the application deadline if you are selected for an interview. To be considered, please complete the application form linked below. Specific deadlines for the current recruitment cycle are in the application form.
If you have questions about volunteering as a research assistant at the Eating Disorders Center, please contact edresearch@health.ucsd.edu. Thank you for your interest!
